Welcome to AustraliAI
Introducing AustraliAI — a vendor-neutral community building Australia's AI security capability.
AustraliAI exists to build domestic AI security capability — the practitioner knowledge, operational tooling, and coordination infrastructure that enables Australia to secure AI systems without permanent dependency on imported expertise and frameworks.
Why now
Global AI security frameworks are maturing fast. NIST, OWASP, ISO, and others have published guidance that covers model risk, supply chain integrity, adversarial robustness, and more. But frameworks don’t deploy themselves. Turning published guidance into operational practice requires practitioners who understand both the guidance and the local context — Australian regulation, threat landscape, and organisational culture.
What we’re building
We focus on three areas:
- Practitioner knowledge — hands-on workshops, shared case studies, and peer learning that turn published guidance into skills practitioners actually use.
- Operational tooling — open-source tools, templates, and reference implementations adapted for Australian operational environments.
- Coordination infrastructure — forums, working groups, and communication channels that connect security practitioners across sectors and states.
Get involved
AustraliAI is open to security practitioners across Australia — government, industry, research, and independent. If you’re working on AI security in an Australian context, we’d like to hear from you. Head to the homepage and reach out through the contact form.
